Toronto Waterfront Marathon & Half Marathon

Oct 14/12 - Purple Power Reigns!

Terrific efforts by almost 60 MDI Dynamos at the windy, warm, wet and VERY sticky Waterfront races this past weekend.  The 95% humidity hampered everyone (marathoners especially) from overall winners right on through the field, yet our valiant foot soldiers did splendidly!

From among the dozens of standout performances we're so proud of (see "Top 42" below), here are some pics of our Purple Power team in action...

GO TEAM!

Midsummer Night 15K & 30K - "Bid our Dynamos run, and they will strive with things impossible"

Aug 19/12 - On a night of uncharacteristically tame summer weather (still about 23C humidex, mind you) Marathon Dynamics runners took up the charge at these popular Toronto area pre-fall season "checkpoint" mid summer races, and came home with PRs, PBs, and lotsa hardware for the trophy case.  Well done crew!

May 13/12 - Sporting Life 10K

            Sherab M SL 10K

MDI-er Sherab Melvin, before pulling aside to kiss her hubby on her way to a very impressive 45 flat. After a 10 miler, a Half Marathon and not one but TWO marathons this season (including Boston) this was a fun victory lap to wrap it up!

Close to 20,000 runners flew down Yonge St. for the 3rd time in 4 weekends (much to the frustration of Toronto motorists!), and though most of the MDI crew had wrapped up their racing by the previous weekend, there were still a few of you who tried your luck to support the great cause (Camp Oochigeas)...and thank goodness, cause you guys ripped it up!

Still collecting results, but here's our best results so far (alphabetical):

Top MDI-ers @ Sporting Life 10K

  1. Don Campbell – 39:43 (all time PB)
  2. Janis Caruana - 1:02:28 (all time PB)
